I prefer to say thank you to express gratitude, not as means to manipulate you into doing something before it happens.
I see nothing nice about saying "Can I go to school on monday? thank you" before you have a chance to answer the question.
Is that what you like?

You find it difficult to ask , do you see any thing that says you'd appreciate it . I have given you freedom and
now you nag trying to control you . Was this an optah episode ? Pm sorry you think that expecting a request as
opposed to a demand I'd controling . Yes I expect a thank you . If you think that is too much to ask we ahold
discuss it.

This is not the first time I am telling you about the school. You already said it was a good idea and I should do it, so it seems silly to now go through this dance
every time I mention it; 'Oh, I just found this school that I think would be useful. I would like to attend this school > I think it would be helpful, meaningful, I
really enjoy flying and I think i would benefit from it. And what a coincidence • it's in New york and I could have started today.:
I already said thank you, I already said I appreciate the flying very much but it seems the more I say it, the more I express how much I like it, the more you use
it to control me. You sent me away from Florida so I go to a flight school somewhere else but I've been now sitting in the apartment for 3 days with nothing to
do. and since you couldn't respond yesterday without picking on how I word the question instead of an answer, lam wasting another week. it is not fair
